All-in-one Elevator Revit

40

I use an unhosted elevator family (built internally, we have a few), walls for the hoistway, Specialty Equipment Door families for the hoistway wall doors, and face based families for the call indicators and controls. The unhosted elevator has parameters (family type) for various cab families based on door direction, front door/back door, and has parametrics for the other stuff. I looked in to some of the addins, but the way the families are built is horrible. Elevators arent wall hosted, and one giant family trying to cut holes out a one giant ten story tall wall isnt idea either, imvho. The doors are specialty equipment versions of our standard doors, modded to be elevator doors, since we dont schedule them in our door schedule. Simply for 3d axons and building sections, the cars move up and down with instances, too.

Ive got screen captures somewhere but cant find them. I have to admit I'm slightly surprised at how few formulas there are I was expecting pages worth. Gives me hope I can build one here.If you try to build an all in one that has everyu single floors doors and stuff in it, yeah.

The All-in-One Elevator Family is the best and most flexible way to create Escalators & Travelators (Conveyer) in your Revit Project. Due to its modular parametric system you are not limited by number of floor-levels or variating floor level heights. The All-in-One Revit Elevator Family 1.1 is available for download The All-in-One Elevator Family released on last Wednesday. All of the built-in features in the All-in-One Revit Elevator Family were designed from the ground up to take advantage of the advanced parametric capabilities of Revit.

You end up with 8 trillion formulas. But i also think thats fundamentally the wrong way to build the content. The only caveats to ours are: Because of the way they represent themselves cut in plan, there are two type selectors.

So if you go to switch it from single door (front) to another variation (doors front and rear, for instance), you need to switch both Family Type selectors: Both the detail component for plan, and the Cab Model family. But since i have all the types set up for the staff, its generally not an issue. Its not perfect, so if you think of anything to make it work beter, by all means edit it and re upload!

Under 'Construction' you will see 'Elevator Number of Stops.' Change this value to a number between 2 and 10. Also make sure your distances are set correctly under this same section. Generally they should match your ceiling height.
