Custom tall Slider Sim created by rsn992002. If you purchased a digital version of The Sims 3 (base game, expansion pack. Equestrian related CC for The Sims 3 Pets. Sliders, etc Here is a list of. Pastern Length Slider & Crested Neck Sliders (Neck & Head Counter) by Elin.

Depending if you already have too many sliders, installing other sliders will usually make the others no longer function unless you have NRass MasterController to surpass the slider limit. If you don't already know, using height sliders or some other body sliders usually will cause animations to not synch and/or clipping. It's also recommended to always clear cache files when installing new cc before starting the game. Some even clear cache files before startup all the time regardless if installed new cc or not. Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 3 CASPartCache compositorCache scriptCache simCompositorCache socialCache (But I don't know if it is even necessary to delete and may be useful for those who still use SimPort or other online features introduced to TS3.) Some screenshots of using height sliders. I have some questions about this also: If I download a slider and decide to uninstall it later, would that cause issues?

What is the right way to remove it if I'll decide I don't like it? Is it possible to download a sim that was edited with sliders? Will that sim look as originally edited (say if it's a height slider - tall / short) even if I don't have the slider at my game? Or will the sim look different? What happens with sims with adjusted height when they age up?

Say if I set the sim height to be 120% from the original, and say he's a kid, would he grow up to be a teen with height of 120% of the original, or would he be with a normal height, and I should set his height again? By the way I have the same questions about other sliders too, since I wanted to download sims that where edited with certein sliders but I hope it would not mess up my game / or they will not look as they pictures in my game.

'If I download a slider and decide to uninstall it later, would that cause issues? What is the right way to remove it if I'll decide I don't like it?'

I don't think it will cause an issue should you decide you no longer want a slider. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I suppose you can set the slider you want to remove to 0 for all sims you used it on before deleting but not sure if that is necessary. 'Is it possible to download a sim that was edited with sliders?

Will that sim look as originally edited (say if it's a height slider - tall / short) even if I don't have the slider at my game? Or will the sim look different?' Yes, it is possible to download sims who use custom sliders. It will depend if the sim will look originally as created or different.

If you don't have the same exact sliders that the sim uses then that sim will appear using only EA sliders, therefore the sim will not look the same. If you do have all the sliders the sim uses then yes, the sim will appear exactly as the creator made it. The same concept goes for any other cc that is in.package form.

For example, instead of uploading my cc version sims of Dimitris and Tatiana, I took them into my mod-free game then uploaded. As you can see how different they look. 'What happens with sims with adjusted height when they age up?

Say if I set the sim height to be 120% from the original, and say he's a kid, would he grow up to be a teen with height of 120% of the original, or would he be with a normal height, and I should set his height again?' Sims with changed heights will stay that way as they age unless you change it. So if you made a sim shorter/taller then they will be shorter/taller than EA's default height during the next lifestage.

Sims will also pass these custom sliders to their children unless otherwise stated by the creator. 'By the way I have the same questions about other sliders too, since I wanted to download sims that where edited with certein sliders but I hope it would not mess up my game / or they will not look as they pictures in my game.' Downloading sims that use custom sliders that you do not have installed should not mess up your game. The sim will just not look the same and use EA default sliders. You can refer again to the pictures I posted above between sims who use cc in.package form and transferred to a modless game.

I have used 2 height sliders, mostly for adult males to make them slightly taller then the female sims. These taller sims do cause certain animations to be out of sync. Kissing for example can be quite funny looking depending on how tall I have made the sim. But most animations are fine.

The first height slider I used was made by Delphy and had some issues. It could only increase height. It often made the feet twitch. When sims made with this height slider are downloaded they remain tall with twitchy feet even if you do not have that slider installed.

A better height slider is made my Cmar. It can be used to make a sim taller or shorter. The sims do not have twitchy feet. I'm not sure if a sim made with this height slider retains their height across download/upload. Children of sims made with both these height sliders can inherit the height from the parent. ETA: Here is an example of a male sim who was made taller via the Cmar height slider. Their lips would probably not match up.

It would look like he was chewing on her upper lip or even her nose, depending how much taller he was. Here they are meeting.

Their hands sync up, no problem. All the sliders will transfer if the other person also has the same sliders. They are also genetic, and cross sex when applicable. (So like the sliders on Mom can transfer to son, etc. Or daughter can be taller if Dad had height sliders used) Sims made with the Delphy height slider uploaded with the added height even if the slider is not installed. I used to have the Delphy one installed on my old Imac. When I started playing Sims 3 on my windows laptop I did not install it, originally.

I used the Cmar one instead. But when I downloaded a sim I noticed that he was very tall and his feet twitched. The Cmar slider registered his height at 0 but he was still very tall.

I had to install the old Delphy one. When I did that slider was at about 150. I had to set that one to 0 to get rid of the twitch and then I used the Cmar one to get his height. So if someone created a sim using that old height slider I'm pretty sure the height will transfer. I have one such sim in my srudio, Ronan Dex Do not download him though (I should probably remove him from my studio) because it will take installing the old height slider to get rid of the twitch feety (there was not much if any twitch with only a slight increase in height but really tall sims like Ronon it was noticable). I'm not sure if that old height slider is still available.
