It's super large and has a bunch of different activities and a variety of pumpkins. This one is quite small and does still have a selection but very limited. My kids really wanted the pony rides and unfortunately they didn't have it available. They only had one carnival ride and adults weren't allowed on it.
The kids did enjoy it though. We also did the giant slide which they enjoyed.
Parking there was a hassle. We had to wait for a car to come out for us to park. I think I would stick with the larger pumpkin patch for next year:). That is a such a nice place. My family liked to be there that last Sunday.
My son Mark is just 2 y.o. So he enjoyed the time there so much.
He loved to be in that little kids city and maze too! I like the pumpkins and of course the place with the farm animals. I gave four stars just because one rabbit bite me in my hand.
I tried to feed him with the treats but Devil rabbit didn't like it and also that rabbit didn't like me too:)) That's so strange because I also was born in the rabbit year and I hoped that everything will be all right. I liked that everyone were friendly and even tried to help me by giving me a bandage with antibacterial cream. That was nice.
Me and my family very enjoy the time there. I think that we may go again some day:))). We visited last year and then visited again today.
It's definitely gotten more expensive and smaller. The 2 people manning the petting zoo were so lazy and just sitting there on their phones and talking to people from the back. They told everyone to just push the gate open to come in and hand them a token. I can see this not being an issue for someone not getting paid to be there but I highly doubt that's the case. And then you pay $1 to feed the animals. The man at the roller coaster was pretty rude too. They have a few broken and in extremely bad condition in a corner for babies and toddlers to play in but please be careful as a child can easily injure themselves on the broken plastic pieces.
The ladies at the cashier were friendly. I think that's about the only positive thing I can say about our experience. We had a token left and were able to use it towards a pumpkin.
Skip this place. This place have gotten more expensive than the previous years I noticed.
$3 per tokens and the kids can only jump in the jumpers for 5 mins, that's a rip off!!! Got the 10 tokens for $30 bucks (still thought it's pricey). The food stand was closed ( hot dogs only in the menu btw).
There was only a shaved ice stand open. The lady at the petting zoo station was very rude!!!! She kept telling kids to stop chasing the animals ( they were not chasing them, the animals just kept running away on their own). She shouldn't be allow to be anywhere around kids, she's bitter as heck! We had to look around for the train conductor, he was at another stand. I heard they are location next year, I won't miss them a bit.
I wouldn't go back anyways. I care across a very nice little girl that was helping her mom work in one of the win a fish stand, she was very nice and outgoing. That was probably the only customer service my family and I received there. For a pumpkin patch that is located in the middle of a bustling city, Shawn's was just fine. They had enough pumpkins of various sizes for me to choose from, and my favorite part was the petting zoo.
I just love animals, and for $3 I got my fill of goats, chickens, lambs, and a llama! Adorable Customer service is minimal, but you get to look around at your own pace. I went on a weekday afternoon, so it was quite empty, but I preferred it that way. They have a bouncy house that is a-ok, and it looked like they had a face painting station for busier days.
I was just looking for a place that offered a variety of pumpkins, and Shawn's definitely met that need. Throw in the petting zoo, and I was happy as a clam. I hosted my sons birthday at the patch today and I could not be more thankful or happy to work with such a kind and responsive person.
They were able to make everything we wanted happen. The patch was perfectly designed for the holiday. They put out great decorations and layed out the pumpkins nicely. The patch was roomy spacious and lots of fun for kids.
They had toys, a large maze for kids to run around, petting zoo, face paint, bouncy house, etc. All the kids had a blast and the parents were happy and comfortable because the patch was blocked off with gates so all the kids were safe. I highly highly highly recommend this patch and working with this lovely company.
It was truly a pleasure. I thank them for making my sons birthday a hit. This is a neighborhood pumpkin patch located diagonal from the Whole Foods. It is on the corner of busy Wilshire and 23rd. There is a tiny parking lot and the parking enforcement will ticket you if you are parked in the residential part South of Wilshire and don't have a parking permit.
Thankfully after 6 the meters are free. Good option for me because: It is walking distance, and has pumpkins. If I had a kid, or was a kid, there seems to be some stuff to entertain them while you look for any pumpkin still with a stem on it. I got 3 medium sized pumpkins for $17.
This pumpkin patch is smaller than a traditional patch. They don't have a train rides, pony rides or anything of that nature, which was a bummer. They have a small area with a bunch of dirty ghetto toys for small toddlers can play with, but that is nice of them to make an effort to have something available for the little ones too. They do have a jumpie and a small enclosed area with a couple goats and a couple of chickens to feed for the animal lovers. I will say that the location is on a busy block of Wilshire, which is very dangerous because they have a large gate open on that side of the street. This doesn't make sense to me because it's not a driveway entrance. The side entrance perpendicular to Wilshire is would suffice for all entrants.
No need for an extra escape route for the little ones. This place hit the spot for now, but next time we are going to Underwood Farms all the way!! A family owned business that strives to provide a quality product and a reasonable price. At Shawn's pumpkin patch or Christmas tree lot. They are a family tradition. Although many think they allow any type of quantity on their lots, it's the quality. Not only do they provide our community with pumpkins or trees, they employ people and have a great sense of family values.
Visit the pumpkin patch. It offers a wide variety of squashes and entertainment. It's a place where family traditions are born. It wasn't as big of a pumpkin patch as my wife and I had imagined, but it had plenty to keep our little one busy and entertained. Lots of pumpkins to stroll through, and they have wagons that are supposed to be used to pick pumpkins, but make a good picture prop.
There's also a small petting zoo, a bounce house, and a little play area. It was a little bit hectic while we were there.
No one was collecting the tokens for the petting zoo area, and the bounce house leading to a bigger group in each area then was supposed to be there. The animals also had eaten plenty, so the little $1 cups of food that they sold were ignored by all the animals.
Either way, it's close to home, and we took plenty of great pictures, so a fun outing overall.
